The Ruffed Grouse Society

During this week’s podcast, Adam sits down with the President of the Ruffed Grouse Society to discuss the organization’s mission and goals. You will be very surprised at just how much in common management for ruffed grouse can easily support and benefit other game and non-game species.

It is very encouraging to sit back and listen to the root of development for the Ruffed Grouse Society. This group takes habitat management to the next level. It is critical that ruffed grouse have young forest under 15 years old in their home ranges. This woody regeneration creates forage opportunities, nesting cover, drumming logs, and various other necessities that allow the ruffed grouse to persist. By now, you know how important that is for other species and the forest itself.

Be sure to listen closely to the direction and importance the Ruffed Grouse Society places on true habitat management. Thousands of acres are being affected right now based on their guidance and direction. Join the fight and help support The Ruffed Grouse Society conserve more land across the country.
